It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cambridge Springs Devils had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past Eisenhower 22-20. The win was nothing new for Cambridge Springs as they're now sitting on five straight.
Preston Gorton was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 64 receiving yards.
Despite the loss, Eisenhower still got an impressive performance from Shawn Pascuzzi, who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 81 yards and a touchdown.
Cambridge Springs' victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Eisenhower, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Cambridge Springs will face off against Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Lakeview is ranked 359th, while Cambridge Springs is ranked 345th). Eisenhower does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
