Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Oakland Mills Scorpions walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 29-6 margin over River Hill. The win was familiar territory for Oakland Mills who now have four in a row.
Oakland Mills was led to victory by Russell Carrington and Isaac Ramsey. Carrington gained 105 total yards and two touchdowns, while Ramsey rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
Oakland Mills' victory was their third straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 4-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points per game. As for River Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Oakland Mills will head out on the road to face off against Atholton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Atholton is ranked 126th, while Oakland Mills is ranked 137th). River Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
