The Rensselaer Central Bombers put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 64-37 victory over Twin Lakes. Considering Rensselaer Central has won six matches by more than 21 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Rensselaer Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carly Drone out in front who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Kaufman, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Despite the loss, Twin Lakes still got an impressive performance from Addie Bowsman, who scored 26 points. The contest was Bowsman's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Nickerson, who scored 9 points.
Rensselaer Central's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Twin Lakes, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-2.
Rensselaer Central will be playing at home against Winamac at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Twin Lakes, they will head out on the road to face off against West Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
