Softball Game Preview: Twin Valley Raiders vs. Conrad Weiser Scouts

Twin Valley is 9-1 against Conrad Weiser since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Scouts at 4:00 p.m. Twin Valley will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Twin Valley can't be too worried about heading out to take on Conrad Weiser: they just beat Fleetwood at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Raiders never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Wednesday. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Not much got past Erin Cromwell, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Fleetwood off the board. Cromwell has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ella Herbst, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Liv Eacalona also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Conrad Weiser hadn't done well against Daniel Boone recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Scouts put the hurt on the Blazers with a sharp 15-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Scouts considering their one-run performance the match before.

Twin Valley pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Conrad Weiser, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Everything went Twin Valley's way against Conrad Weiser when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Twin Valley made off with a 9-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
