JSerra Catholic moved up to 70 from 146 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Trinity. The Lions were able to make the jump by beating Trabuco Hills 31-21.
Servite took down St. Paul 24-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Josh Rosen and Darren Walker gave St. John Bosco a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Rosen threw for 277 yards and four touchdowns, while Walker ran for 138 yards. Teammate Jaleel Wadood added to the ground attack by rushing for 73 yards.
Thomas Duarte was the best wideout in the league this week as Mater Dei fell to Narbonne. Duarte racked up seven receptions for 115 yards. Nicholas Little helped Mater Dei's passing attack out by catching three balls for 27 yards.
Santa Margarita's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnny Stanton has thrown for 949 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while River Cracraft has 23 catches for 444 yards. Ryan Wolpin leads the league in rushing with 728 yards.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when the Braves and Orange Lutheran meet this week. St. John Bosco features well-regarded senior Nico Falah while the Lancers has John Lopez, a sought after senior.
A big matchup in Trinity this week will be when Santa Margarita takes on the Friars. The Eagles are currently in first, while Servite is in fifth.
Jason Negro's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on Jordan. Rosen ran for 10 yards in the win.
