The Jackson Academy Raiders can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Madison-Ridgeland Academy with a sharp 69-47 victory. The win was nothing new for Jackson Academy as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Jackson Academy was led to victory by Mike Williams and Mason Williams. Williams scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Williams scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Gaitor, who scored five points along with six assists and four steals.
Jackson Academy's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.44 points. As for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on St. Joseph Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Madison-Ridgeland Academy will take on Hartfield Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hartfield Academy is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
