The Washington Blue Lions's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-52 win over Hillsboro. That's another feather in the cap for Washington, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Washington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Haithcock, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 19 rebounds. Those 19 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Haithcock, who scored three points along with nine steals and seven rebounds.
Washington pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Hillsboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will take on Chillicothe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chillicothe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 479th, while Washington is ranked 138th). As for Hillsboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jackson will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
