After a string of four wins, the Trinity Christian Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a serious blow against Tucker County, falling 91-60. While losing is never fun, Trinity Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Tucker County is ranked 20th).
Trinity Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Chayce Adams and Carter Hartsock. Adams scored 25 points, while Hartsock scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Parker Hopkins, who scored six points.
Trinity Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Tucker County, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Trinity Christian will head out on the road to face off against Webster County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tucker County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilmer County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Gilmer County is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
