The Campbell Spartans and the McEachern Indians squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Campbell Spartans had to settle for second. Campbell was dealt a 42-0 defeat at the hands of McEachern. While losing is never fun, Campbell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 186th, while McEachern is ranked 37th).
Luke Marble threw for 51 yards on two of 11 attempts. Nick Buggs was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards.
Campbell has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for McEachern, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Campbell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McEachern will take on Camden County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
