The 2012 version of the MaxPreps Top 100 Baseball Players is loaded with talented position players, but a pair of pitching teammates rank near the top of the list.

is the No. 1-ranked player in the nation and he is joined by teammate

, a left-hander, who comes in at No. 5. However pitchers consitute just 10 of the top 25 players among this year's group. Outfielders are the most represented among the postion players with seven, led by No. 2 overall
