The Auburn Adventist Falcons put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Concordia Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 77-58. Given Auburn Adventist's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Concordia Christian Academy is ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jonathan Russell was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Ellis, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Auburn Adventist's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Concordia Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburn Adventist will take on Crosspoint at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Concordia Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Northwest Yeshiva at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest Yeshiva has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three games.
