Chesapeake Science Point's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their tenth straight loss. Their rough 77-54 defeat to Great Mills might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Chesapeake Science Point can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Great Mills is ranked 30th).
Leading Great Mills to victory were Jermaine Davis and Jameson Dyson. Davis scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, while Dyson scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The matchup was Dyson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Mills, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Chesapeake Science Point bumped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Great Mills, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Chesapeake Science Point will be playing at home against Southwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Great Mills is on the road again on Friday and play against La Plata at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully La Plata focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Wednesday.
