Archbishop Mitty is 9-1 against Presentation since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Archbishop Mitty will look to defend their home field against Presentation at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Archbishop Mitty has three straight victories, Presentation has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Archbishop Mitty got the win against Branham by a conclusive 9-3. Considering the Monarchs have won three matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kyleigh Mace spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Olivia Anderson, who went 2-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Payton Burton, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.
Archbishop Mitty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Presentation's offense. They lost 7-0 to San Mateo on Saturday.
Presentation saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Malatesta, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
Archbishop Mitty's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Presentation, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Archbishop Mitty hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Presentation struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Archbishop Mitty's way against Presentation in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Archbishop Mitty made off with a 10-0 win. Will Archbishop Mitty repeat their success, or does Presentation has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
