West Charlotte is 1-9 against Chambers since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The West Charlotte Lions will head out on the road to take on the Chambers Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Chambers took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on West Charlotte, who comes in off a win.
Even though Harding University scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, West Charlotte still came out on top. West Charlotte snuck past Harding University with a 61-57 win. The win was just what West Charlotte needed coming off of a 51-31 loss in their prior game.
West Charlotte's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paige Bowman, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Latayshia Andrews, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-38, which was the final score in Chambers' tilt against North Mecklenburg on Friday. While losing is never fun, Chambers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while North Mecklenburg is ranked 47th).
West Charlotte is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for Chambers, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
West Charlotte barely slipped by Chambers when the teams last played back in January, winning 70-69. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Chambers' Brianna Redmond, who scored 30 points.
