Curtis is the No. 1 overall player in the Class of 2026 and made waves around the country Tuesday when he switched gears on his longstanding commitment from the Bulldogs to the Commodores. He is the first five-star to commit to Vanderbilt.
Thursday, Curtis capped his high school career with his second straight state title after passing for five touchdowns and running for another. After his fifth scoring toss, he bowed out with 9:35 left in the third quarter.

The four-year starter finished his career with 128 passing touchdowns and 49 rushing scores. In postseason games alone, he had 3,073 total yards and 53 touchdowns.
Against University School, Curtis completed 15 of 20 attempts for 254 yards while rushing for 77 yards for Nashville Christian (13-0), which is ranked No. 55 nationally.The Eagles started the scoring off when Curtis kept the ball himself for a 3-yard rushing touchdown early in the first quarter.

Running back
T.J. Ward capped the first-quarter scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run to make the score 21-0.
Curtis started the second quarter by hitting senior
Zane Crampton for a 30-yard touchdown.
After Ward scored a 4-yard rushing touchdown, Curtis threw his third scoring pass of the day, and second to Crampton, from 5-yards out.
To end the first quarter, Curtis threw a 31-yard touchdown to Ward to make it 49-0. Ward finished the day with three total touchdowns and 31 as a senior.
The final touchdown pass of his career came with 9:35 remaining in the third quarter when he hit sophomore
Kaden Grigsby for a 17-yard score.
Nashville Christian will take a 23-game winning streak into the 2026 season.
