Steven Windhorst was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds for Town East Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Windhorst has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Cadena, who scored eight points.
Salem Sayers Baptist Academy's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Town East Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem Sayers Baptist Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Founders Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Town East Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Vanguard Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Vanguard Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
