The Kittatinny Regional Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 91-62 defeat at the hands of American Christian School. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), Kittatinny Regional still had to take the loss.
American Christian School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Japhet Santiago out in front who scored 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Ritchwood, who scored 20 points.
Kittatinny Regional's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-14. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for American Christian School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Kittatinny Regional has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for American Christian School, they will head out on the road to square off against the at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
