The Dupree Tigers won the last time they faced the Bison Cardinals, and things went their way on Monday too. Dupree put the hurt on Bison with a sharp 57-34 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Dupree has managed all season.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rylee Veal, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 47.1% of Bison's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colt Kopren, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
The win got Dupree back to even at 4-4. As for Bison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dupree won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Takini on January 23rd. One thing working in Takini's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Bison, they will play host again and welcome Timber Lake, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
