The Emery/Weiner had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.3 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They breezed by St. Augustine at home to the tune of 66-6. The result was nothing new for Emery/Weiner, who have now won six matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Zac Laviage, who rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. Laviage's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Bennett Grossman was another key contributor, throwing for 183 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Emery/Weiner's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for St. Augustine, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
