The Kemper County Wildcats were the 60-54 winner over the Quitman Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Kemper County was beaten by Quitman 63-24 on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kemper County has scored all season.
AUDRIANA HARRIS continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Quitman, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. HARRIS is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of AIYANNA DEAR, who scored 12 points along with five assists and four steals.
Kemper County's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-5. As for Quitman, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.
Kemper County will head out on the road to face off against McLaurin at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Quitman won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northeast Lauderdale at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th.
