The Elysian Fields Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They suffered a tough 64-41 defeat at the hands of Troup. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Elysian Fields of the 49-37 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Elysian Fields' loss came despite strong showings from Dravian Rather and Brody Parker. Rather scored ten points, while Parker scored six points along with two steals.
Elysian Fields has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Troup, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.
Elysian Fields will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully King's Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Troup, they will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Waskom will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1197th, while the Tigers are ranked 554th).
