The Towers Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They fell just short of Eagle's Landing Christian Academy by a score of 46-43. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Towers in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost three in a row.
Eagle's Landing Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Jazmine Lopez, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Lopez has scored at least a third of Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kara Anthony, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
Towers dropped their record down to 1-19 with that loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Towers' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy will take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
