Holbrook hasn't had much luck against Snowflake recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Roadrunners will be playing at home against the Lobos at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with five losses in a row, Holbrook turned things around against Monument Valley on Saturday. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 19-15.

Angelica Uranga and Alexis Young did most of the damage at the plate: Uranga went 3-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and three RBI, while Young went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave Young a new career-high. Jaycee Greer was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Holbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They got five more hits than Monument Valley's also-impressive total of 13.
Meanwhile, Snowflake made easy work of Chinle on Thursday and carried off a 20-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Paisley Solomon made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kelsey Scarbrough, who went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Addie Coor, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Holbrook's win bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Snowflake, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Holbrook hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like Snowflake struggles in that department as they've averaged .363. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Holbrook might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Snowflake when the teams last played back in March. Will the Roadrunners have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
