Shawnee extended their winning streak to 14 games thanks to a huge performance from Trevick Bertke. The Shawnee Indians took down the Defiance Bulldogs 58-43 on Saturday thanks in part to Bertke, who went 9-for-16 en route to 29 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The game was his 12th in a row with at least 15 points.

Shawnee pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points over those games. As for Defiance, they moved to 19-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Shawnee will take on Central Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shawnee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Central Catholic likes a good challenge. Defiance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
