The Manchester Township Hawks had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 48-22 margin over Lakewood. The result was nothing new for Manchester Township, who have now won five games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Josh Love continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 200 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Manchester Township also got help from Marquis Goins jr who showed off his sure hands for 100 receiving yards.
Manchester Township's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Lakewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Manchester Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lakewood will head out on the road to face off against Gateway Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gateway Regional has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 31st.
