After flying high against Sanborn Regional last Wednesday, Oyster River came back down to earth. The Bobcats took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coe-Brown Academy Bears on Monday. The loss was the Bobcats' first of the season.
Aliza Parks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Michaud, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.
Having lost for the first time this season, Oyster River fell to 2-1-1. As for Coe-Brown Academy, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
