On Saturday, Keenan earned a 43-31 victory over Timberland.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Keenan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aareonna Cuaghman, who scored 9 points along with 15 rebounds and 3 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristin Brown, who scored 16 points.
Despite the loss, Timberland saw an underclassman step up: Zion Prioleau scored 18 points. Prioleau scored a full 58.1% of Timberland's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win got Keenan back to even at 1-1. As for Timberland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Keenan's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lower Richland at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully Lower Richland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday. As for Timberland, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Cane Bay at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Cane Bay is ranked 152nd, while Timberland is ranked 128th).
