On Thursday,  the stars were shining brightly for Meridian in a  45-29 win over Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Meridian.
 Meridian was led to victory by  Ana Dimas and  McKenzie Hofstetter.  Dimas  scored 11 points along with four  steals, while  Hofstetter  scored ten points along with eight  rebounds. That's the first time this season that  Hofstetter  pulled down eight or more   rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaala Stewart, who  scored five points along with seven  rebounds.
 Despite the  loss, Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer saw an underclassman step up:  Elie Bstandig  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and ten  rebounds. Bstandig set a new season high mark in  steals with five. Another player making a difference was  Jaylie McNealy, who  scored nine points along with four  steals.
 Meridian has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost four of their last five matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lewiston on January 2, 2024. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sterling on January 5, 2024.
