After a string of three wins, the Cedaredge Bruins's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 43-34 to Roaring Fork. Cedaredge was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Roaring Fork apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Cedaredge saw an underclassman step up: Sammy Denison scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Carley Malinowski, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Carly Crownhart was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five steals for Roaring Fork. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crownhart has scored all season. Maddie Anderson was another key contributor, scoring two points along with two steals.
Cedaredge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Roaring Fork, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
