The Lutheran South Academy Pioneers have not lost a match since December 15, 2023, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They never let Frassati Catholic onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Mason Hoggatt had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Lutheran South Academy got from the refs.
Lutheran South Academy was led to victory by the tag-team duo of Hoggatt and
Brody Smith, who scored both of Lutheran South Academy's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 27 so far this season.
Lutheran South Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6-5 record this season. As for Frassati Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-3.
Lutheran South Academy will head out on the road to face off against Emery/Weiner at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Emery/Weiner's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
