There's no place like home for the Jenkintown Drakes, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They were the clear victor by a 62-42 margin over Lehigh Valley Academy.
Tommy Walsh was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kareem Jackson, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Lehigh Valley Academy lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ziyon Wilkins, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Christopher Hunt, who scored 11 points.
Jenkintown's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Lehigh Valley Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.
Jenkintown will be playing in front of their home fans against Dock Mennonite at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dock Mennonite presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jenkintown in Pennsylvania (Dock Mennonite is ranked 122nd, while Jenkintown is ranked 441st). As for Lehigh Valley Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Lincoln Leadership Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
