After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lafayette Christian Academy, Welsh was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Lake Arthur Tigers 59-20. The Greyhounds' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Welsh's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Lake Arthur, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Welsh will face off against rival Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lake Arthur is set to take on their familiar foe Lafayette Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
