South came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past the Fountain Valley Barons with a 60-56 victory.

South's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Fountain Valley, they moved to 13-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
