Damon Thompson Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for John Marshall, scoring 31 points along with three steals. Thompson Jr is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Latrell Allmond, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Thomas Jefferson's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for John Marshall, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
Thomas Jefferson will head out on the road to face off against Richmond City School of the Arts at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Richmond City School of the Arts comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for John Marshall, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Phoebus at 5:30 p.m. on January 20th. Phoebus will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while John Marshall is ranked second).
