For Silverdale Academy, this counts as revenge for the 54-49 loss Soddy Daisy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Silverdale Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kennedy Okpara, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 blocks. The game was Okpara's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Houston Holland was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with 7 rebounds.
Silverdale Academy has yet to lose a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 7-0 record. As for Soddy Daisy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silverdale Academy will square off against Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Notre Dame will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Silverdale Academy is ranked fourth). As for Soddy Daisy, they will head out on the road to face off against Signal Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Signal Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Soddy Daisy likes a good challenge.
