Everything went their way against the Yutan Chieftains on Thursday as the Crofton Warriors made off with a 53-28 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.
Crofton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaisie Janssen, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Cassie Allen was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals.
Crofton was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Yutan only five assists.
Despite the loss, Yutan still got an impressive performance from Mylee Tichota, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Tichota has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Dieckman, who scored seven points and seven rebounds.
Crofton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season. Yutan's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7.
Crofton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-45 loss against Oakland-Craig on the 7th. Yutan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
