James Island Christian's Josh Black rumbled for the longest rushing play in SCISA 8-Man Region I (8 Man) this season in his game against Coastal Christian Prep last week. Black scampered for 15 yards on the play and finished with 52 on the day as his team lost to Coastal Christian Prep.
St. John's Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Beaufort Academy, 60-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Cavaliers.
JB Weber's team's dynamic duo of Black and Daniel Ulmer proved tough for J.W. Myers' team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Black threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns and Ulmer had 98 yards receiving. Ben Hamilton helped James Island Christian's passing attack out by catching four balls for 58 yards.
Paul Deloach was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 533 yards on 49 carries as Henry Academy fell to Coastal Christian Prep. Gibson Wall also contributed to the rushing game with 171 yards on the ground.
On the ground, the Patriots' Deloach has rushed for 1715 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Wall. The Henry Academy star has 17 catches for 457 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Cathedral Academy and Ridge Christian Academy. The Generals enters the contest ranked ninth in the state, while the Paladins ranks 24th.
St. John's Christian Academy took down Beaufort Academy 60-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
