The Trinity Christian Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against American Heritage, falling 55-13. While losing is never fun, Trinity Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while American Heritage is ranked 66th).
Sammantha Monier was Trinity Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Kymorah Morrissey held things down on the boards with four rebounds.
Skylar Turk continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for American Heritage, scoring 23 points. The contest was Turk's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Briyanna Doden, who scored 13 points.
Trinity Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for American Heritage, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will take on Morningside Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Morningside Academy's defense has only allowed 24 points per game this season, so Trinity Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for Trinity Christian Academy. As for American Heritage, they will be playing at home against FAU High at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
