The Dillingham Wolverines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 39-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bristol Bay. Dillingham lost against Bristol Bay in their previous head to head back in January of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-53 score last time.
Bristol Bay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Julian Trefon out in front who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Keilan Wassillie, who scored nine points.
Dillingham bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bristol Bay, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0.
Dillingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bristol Bay won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chief Ivan Blunka at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th.
