Volleyball Recap: Fremont Has No Trouble Against Gunn

Fremont's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Gunn Titans as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Firebirds in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won five in a row.

While Fremont might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gunn scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 25-22.

Eli Geddes paced Fremont's offense, picking up 15 kills. Geddes got some help from Neebir Natarjan and his 33 assists. Tom Back controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Fremont's record is now 6-12. As for Gunn, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fremont will head out to challenge Wilcox at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gunn, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Milpitas at 6:45 p.m. on the 14th.
