The Kalaheo Mustangs's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 47-38 win over St. Andrew's Priory. The win was just what Kalaheo needed coming off of a 46-20 loss in their prior matchup.
Kalaheo found their leader in underclassman Lizzy Kennedy, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 steals. Kennedy continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayshah Ukauka, who scored 12 points.
Kalaheo's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for St. Andrew's Priory, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Kalaheo's road trip will continue as they head out to face University Laboratory School. University Laboratory School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. St. Andrew's Priory will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kalaheo at 12:00 p.m. on December 9th.
