Grace Prep has been on the road for five straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Dallas HSAA Red Blue Angels at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Grace Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Grace Prep strolled past Trinity Christian with points to spare, taking the game 58-41. Given Grace Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Trinity Christian is ranked 941st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Grace Prep relied on the efforts of Zaria Howard, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Sophie Jordan, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The game was Howard's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Kyley Mclean was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Dallas HSAA Red came up short against Lake Country Christian back in November and fell 51-44. Dallas HSAA Red has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Grace Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Dallas HSAA Red, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
