As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kennicutt has scored all season. Max Hanson was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Southwest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jakub Walz, led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hunter Blume, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Wallace has not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Southwest, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.
Wallace will head out on the road to face off against Hitchcock County at 7:10 p.m. on Friday. Wallace is coming into the match with five straight defeats on the road, meaning Hitchcock County will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Southwest, they will take on Axtell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Axtell is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
