Potomac Falls's game  last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  12-10  victory over the Dominion Titans. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Potomac Falls considering their one-run performance the  game before.
  Charlotte Smith made a big impact no matter where she played. She  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up  five earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits. Smith was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Emma Barker was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Amelia Cave, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-5.
 Potomac Falls' win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 3-5. As for Dominion, they dropped their record down to 0-4-1 with that  defeat, which was their third straight  at home.
 Potomac Falls will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Riverside at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Dominion, they will head out on the road to  challenge  John Champe at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
