Baseball Recap: Soddy Daisy Has No Trouble Against Clinton

The Soddy Daisy Trojans made easy work of the Clinton Dragons on Friday and carried off a 15-7 win.

The team relied heavily on Jake Jackson, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Cooper Poe was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

Soddy Daisy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Soddy Daisy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Clinton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-12.
