Volleyball Recap: Seabreeze Wins Going Away Against Mainland

Seabreeze won the last time they faced Mainland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Sandcrabs blew past the Buccaneers 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sandcrabs.

One reason for the win was Seabreeze's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-12.

Lilli Litz was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and three aces. Victoria Kenyon-Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Seabreeze was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matches.

Seabreeze's record is now 13-10. As for Mainland, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-19.

Looking ahead, Seabreeze will venture away from home to challenge Father Lopez at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mainland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
