Meanwhile, Providence Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They lost to Grace Academy at home by a decisive 34-16 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Providence Prep has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Providence Prep had strong showings from Lilly Hodge, who scored seven points along with eight steals and seven rebounds, and Daphne Patrick, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals. Hodge has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.
Valor Preparatory Academy pushed their record up to 5-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Providence Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
