The LEAD Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 55-32 defeat at the hands of King's Academy. If LEAD Academy was looking for revenge after losing 59-29 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
King's Academy found their leader in underclassman Travis Haft, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Haft continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nick Atkinson, who scored nine points along with two steals.
LEAD Academy dropped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.7 points per game. As for King's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-17.
LEAD Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. King's Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
