The Verrado Vipers lost against the Millennium Tigers back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Verrado had to suffer through a rough 107-14 loss at the hands of Millennium. Verrado has struggled against Millennium recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Elli Guiney continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Millennium, scoring 33 points along with five steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Guiney has scored at least 25% of Millennium's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dashia Richardson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals.
Verrado's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Millennium, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Verrado will face off against Williams Field at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Williams Field focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday. As for Millennium, they will head out on the road to face off against La Joya Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. La Joya Community comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
