The Milton-Union Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arcanum. If Milton-Union hoped to take revenge for the 49-46 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Milton-Union's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Kimmel, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zach Lovin, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Milton-Union struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-4) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Arcanum was led to victory by Regan Christ and Braylen Etherington. Christ scored 14 points along with five rebounds, while Etherington scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Matthew Mccans was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Milton-Union has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Arcanum, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton-Union on the road again on Tuesday and play against Covington at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Arcanum, Arcanum and Bradford will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
